Automotive Paint Job

Where would you guys recommend getting my '95 Honda Civic painted? It needs a full body paint job. I would like to get a dark blue-ish color. Any tips on where to go and a rough estimate of the cost?

My son had a small car painted at Fact-O-Bake in Lafayette a few years back. They did a pretty good job on it and if I remember correctly, it was in the $500.00 range. Their number is 337-237-2068.

A "whatever" paint job = $500-1500
A quality, good as new paint job with no orange peel = $4-5,000

**** paint job + a GOOD $200 compound job will do you fine. Make sure they put on atleast 3 layers of clear.

I have a family friend that does body work/paint. Has done a bunch of cars for some of the movies being filmed in New Orleans (one of his cars was in that Mark Walberg movie). He's out of Slidell. If you are interested I can PM you his number.

expect 1500-2000 for a paint job, anything less will be not worth the time for the person doing it after the cost of materials. might get a good paint job for under 1000 but the prep work will be shitty and it will start peeling and bubbling, not alot of clear and will fade withing a couple years.
