I picked some up just out of principle the second it hit my phone. 1,000 rounds at local walmart. paid $315-ish.

How many boxes you want sir?

...and my internet speed is slow to boot! Damn FCC and ATF! A twofer making it really hard to find cheap ammo and even harder with the slowed internet. :) Seriously, www.gunbot.net is nearly impossible to access.

I can't understand people paying a premium for subpar ammo. If you're gonna pay the price people are asking for this stuff, you could get actual match ammo which would be much more accurate or hunting ammo which would be much more lethal.

I ordered 30 boxes of the PMC XTAC 62gr at $9.99 a box from Cabelas. I opted for store pick up instead of paying for shipping. It will be ready for pick up in 5-8 days.

Well it does do something that those types of ammo don't do very well...

Not really. Any .223 ammo will defeat III-A armor, and none, including green tips, will defeat III.

So, it might have a slight benefit in barrier penetration and a slightly extended armor defeating range. That's about it. Id rather have an expanding bullet that will actually drop an enemy than one that punches a pencil sized hole through them. But that's me.
