I went in to order a .22 rifle, and I was told that the (apparently new) store manager will not allow them to order "Tactical" firearms. No pistol grips, no folding stocks, no military looking firearms. They have a sign posted that "Modern Sporting Rifles" (AR-15's) are 15% off, but there are none in stock & you can't order them. Looks like they lost my business.

Normally, their prices are considerably less then the outside world plus no sales tax on base.

Have you made a complaint with AAFES? Might get them to change their mind with some top down pressure.

Store manager for the AAFES at Warner Robins said the same thing when we ordered one last year. Complained to AAFES and ended up getting a phone call a week later with an additional 10% off as an apology.
