I'm not a big fan of 22 pistols, this one though is awesome.

    Threading took some creation

Not much of a shoulder to butt the silencer against.

Why do you need a shoulder when your running a 2A thread pitch and your threads are concentric with the bore?

That was the original barrel? Nice! There's not much there to work with... I would have thought you'd have to replace the barrel.

Yes the original barrel, and if you do it correctly its relatively simple.

Don't you mean a 3A?? 2A would be sloppier with greater tolerance thus allowing the can to wobble on the threads without a shoulder to stabilize it. However, even with a 3A fit there can still be enough of a wobble to throw the can off center by a hundredth or so. Not that big of a deal if you're building the can with .05" of room around the caliber. Also, with the dirty nature of rimfire, that 3A fit can wear down over time with the can removal/installation to a 2A.
