I am issued one.* JP started the transition about 3 months ago.*

I carried the 92FS for a while and I like the PX4 so far.* It's been 100% reliable for me. YMMV.

I'm seriously considering the Beretta Px4, but I'm not sure. I'm on the fence between the Px4, xD-9, or the Glock 19.

    Any suggestions?

Before you buy one, try one out. The safety/decock lever is sharp and under high tension. Most carry it safety off. You could always get G model, I forget, that is only a decock.

It is big and not much lighter IMO than the 92FS.

    Breauxman,
I have a like new PX4 9mm DAO you can try. The grip is smaller than a Glock and when I shot it my groups were smaller than with my Glocks this size. It is soft shooting and accurate. Less than 500 rounds fired.

I know this issue quite well. I've been torturing myself with my dilemma. I own a Glock and XD and want two of the same mfg. Do I go with Glock or XD...hhmmm. Anyway,my friend has a PX4 and has zero problems. I've shot it a bunch and was impressed on how comfortable it is and how accurate it is. I wonder if the rotating barrel has anything to do with it's accuracy or dependability.

It's nice that he doesn't try to start a new thread and thus make everyone regurgitate the same information that they have already given. Although I was a little confused as to how JPSO didn't yet have enough holsters for their PX4s.

+1 to liking the PX4 over the G19 and XD. Personal preference.
I have nothing else useful to add.

Shot one at a range in MD. Thought it was kind of big. Like the ambi safety/decocker. Accuracy seemed ok. Maybe alittle more recoil than I expected. Thinkin about gettin a sub in the future.

Uncle has the 45. caliber full size PX4 and the 9mm subcompact. The 45 shoots very well and the recoil is tolerable. The 9 is a bit fat although I have measured against my XD subcompact and they are roughly the same size(including thickness). I'm guessing it's the shape...

I love the PX4 45. I have shot them alot. I have also shot the compact PX4 9mm. I like the feel of the gun, has great ergonomics (its a bit fat in the grips but I like a gun with a larger grip). Its a reliable gun that shoots well. I was contemplating buying this gun because I liked shooting my friend's PX4 alot but I ended up buying a Sig instead. I still may buy the 45acp version though.

The full size PX4 receiver is smaller than a full size Glock receiver.

Regarded as another big hit for Beretta. It is the gun of the day to have if you are a Beretta fan- I own a 92fs which is still in production and a little hard to find lately. Beretta press releases indicate many Agencies are selecting the x4 storm.

The real question, is how does the glock stand up to the Beretta? Just kidding, both are excellent weapons, it comes down to personal choice.

The Sig P226 is fine too, but way too much $$$. Damn Germans. Oh, that's right they're a socialist country... gotta palm all those open and wanting hands with money. Why not ours?
