    ...as stated in title!

I just purchased a Remington 700 AAC-SD .308 in the tactical 20" threaded barrel w/ a 1:10 twist. Anyone else own this rifle or can provide links to best ammo to use w/ this rifle specs. Most shooting will be btw 100-250 yards. Fun plinking as well as deer, hog hunting.

    Thanks!!!

Mine likes most everything I've tried in the 168-175gr range., but I'm happy with 1" groups at 100 yds. I'm in the process of having a subsonic load worked up for it. (It shoots POA +1" high suppressed with 168 Federal GameKings at 100 yds.) This coming from a hand gunner who just got his first long range rifle. PM "barney88" here for expert suggestions on anything concerning long range ballistics.
Also, that gun rocks suppressed - and Thunderbeast makes a great 308 can.

I thought the 168gr was the way to go, however I have read testimonials stating that with the 1:10 heavy barrel it preferred higher grain loads.

George....What's your est cost per round for reloading as you stated?!?!

hdfinder47....where are you located? I'd love to check out your setup w/ the suppressor. It's the reason I went w/ the threaded barrel...to leave me the opportunity and encouragement of moving into a suppressor eventually.

    Thanks for the replies!!!

The best ammo to use is whatever it shoots the best. Your gun may like or hate whatever someone else with the exact same model has. 168's are fine in a 1:10.
