I guess it is not appealing to me to pay big money for a rifle like noveske when they don't make their own barrels. I think dd has the better quality control, but noveske puts out a better finished gun. I would rather pay $250 for a psa chf barrel than $450+ for a noveske chf barrel (estimate)

Dd actually makes most of their parts. I'm not bashing colt, I just cane justify 1k+ for a rifle from them. I would rather bcm, or dd at their price point.

I personally don't like spikes, the company. I can't figure out why they make customers wait months for product. There is no reason for that. Let's be real, parts are scarce, but how does little ole me have access to parts and they don't. Psa has sold over 30k receivers so far this year, and hasn't had a parts issue as bad as them. I know your saying that is receivers, but at 30k receivers how many people bought parts and uppers?

Psa has had some bad qc, but has always made it right. I have only had one return (cosmetic issue) and had a replacement in 1 week. (From the time I was ar UPS till the replacement was a week)

Someone mentioned olympic arms. Olympic and stag are huge parts supplier. Some of you may be surprised to learn in the future that you have Olympic and stag parts. (For transparency sake, I'm not sure who the two supply)

I am not bashing any one brand, I think all guns are good guns at the right price. Psa has the right price.

Why in the hell does it matter who makes their parts in house? I don't care where the parts come from so long as they're good parts. Ferrari doesn't have a pasture out back to make sure their leather is perfect, they let a specialist do it, and nobody bitches.

I have a few ar's LWRC, Spikes, RJF, and homemades. I prefer my LWRC, which also happens to be my most expensive gun. My Spikes and RJF are pretty much equal, I see no discernable difference at all. My homemades are just that, works in progress that start cheap and end up a little rediculous.

I would rather pay $250 for a psa chf barrel than $450+ for a noveske chf barrel (estimate) Noveske makes their stainless barrels on another company's equipment, gets their CHF one's from FN, and as I understand, threads them themselves (hence why they are "suppressor ready" from Noveske and ADCO seems to find them the best. DD does pretty good in this regard, though, but the Noveske barrels are typically threaded more precisely, per ADCO.

Dd actually makes most of their parts. I'm not bashing colt, I just cane justify 1k+ for a rifle from them. I would rather bcm, or dd at their price point. They certainly offer more "options".

Definitely agree that PSA has a huge price advantage over pretty much everyone.

Sabre Defense made more parts in-house than anyone I am aware of (quoting me 85% or greater made in-house, including small-parts.). They put out a decent rifle, but it certainly isn't any better than the rest, and worse than some.

Of course, they lied about a few minor things, so who's to say...

I'm going to shoot my first machine guns on Wednesday morning! I'm super excited & maybe a touch apprehensive due to fear of the
unknown. I am told I will fall in love with the AR15 and have decided to put it on my list of "must-haves" even before I shoot one. So in preparation
for my purchase I want to know who makes the best one & why. Also, can anyone suggest some fun exploding targets (this will be my 2nd time
shooting outdoors, (1st time we had paper targets & miller light bottles). I want to do something more fun, like what I see on Top Shot! Suggestions on that too would be great too! Thanks and I hope you all have a safe & eventful 4th of July!

I think that you are talking out your ass and need to educate yourself further! Machine Guns and AR-15 don't even belong in the same sentence!

    You have either:
A). Played too many video games
B). Watched one too many John Woo action movies

FWIW, Windham Weaponry is the besets AR. EVAR!!!!!

What if he knows someone with a RDIAS. That would put "AR15" and "Machinegun" in the same sentence quite appropriately. :p

Because if you don't build the parts in house the temptation is to let the manufacture handle the QC process on those parts.

That is more of a headache. A cheap way to not having to retrofit a receiver and then not to mention the time it takes to check and tweak cycling and timing issues..

End of the day, it's definitely a check box item for the ARF.com crowd!

Also if money is NOT an issue dont forget about the

LaRue PredatAR 5.56, sucks that their costumer service is BAD. I know of a local training venue who is READY to drop the coin on 4 of them but they do not have them in stock and the sales person who handles this area wont return phone calls with an "estimated time". One more example of a company that puts out an outstanding product BUT they have gotten too big too fast and now they cannot handle the business, similar to what happened to SPIKES I run their products and I recommend them to ANYBODY but they cannot handle the work.

They had a HUGE market making quality 5.45 uppers and they blew that out ........

And you got a really neat hat, too..... :D

    .

The hat is awesome. A few weeks ago I was flying back from Pocatello, ID. On the leg from Salt Lake City to Houston, a young man switched seats about 30 mins. into the flight. He's reading a book which happens to be in Arabic, Farsi, or some such. I believe my Noveske hat saved the flight that day. With the rear slogan "Stops Jihad On Contact," how could it not? :D :rofl::rofl:

ETA: True story, but I probably embellished the last few lines.

Kyle Lamb choose JP to build his battle rifle!!
And because that's what I shoot haha

Most of your top Competition Shooters use a JP rifle or JP parts.
Competition Shooters run their rifle hard and fast.
Find a JP rifle and feel the trigger and quick reset.
    .
+1 for JP Rifles each rifle is hand build from a small shop not line assessable.
