Hopefully I won't be. Just need to find out my options. Don't want to be without my kids. I know most people would say that isn't a good reason to stay, but they are my only reason.

Don't listen to anyone who says it isn't a good reason. My kids are my life. Good luck.

Been there, done that. Your kids will still be there. And everyone will be better off in the long run. Just my experience. Go for everything and don't EVER back off. No mercy. Give an inch and you WILL get screwed. Best of luck to you.

Good guy. I went to school with his daughter.

All this aforementioned stuff is fine and dandy!

Just try to keep it civil for Christ's sake!

I am fed up hearing stories about how the "C" in the divorce used the kids as pawns to get back at the "D", and vice versa.

Next to a death, it is the worst experience you can go through. I have lost years off my life. I tried to make it work for the sake of my kids and I got burnt again. If you pull the trigger, treat it like war and she is the enemy (assuming she is the at fault party).

I am at the tail end of my divorce. My advice is to lawyer up if you can afford so and have all your ducks in a row before sitting in any court room. Pictures, documents, accounts, etc. anything you can get, get.

Do what best for the kids, and try to be fair as possible with one another. It's a very hard decision and takes time to heal mentally, but if done fairly you all will be happy and in the end the kids will have two families who love and care for them very much.
