Athlon is pretty good. Also Swamp Fox is supposedly pretty damn good. You can find Riton on sale, the only one I have, and I know they are really good.

Probably the most popular choice in these parameters are Primary Arms SLX 1-6 or 1-8, you may even step up to a GLX a little over $500.

Trijicon Credo is a little over $500 but another great choice

Arken EP-8 is another good choice cheaper than those

Have you shot with a FFP LPV?

I understand FFP on a mid to high magnification scope but at low(1-2) power the reticle gets SO small it’s almost unusable IMO.

Yes. On low power it’s basically a red dot. I have a GLX1-6, a SLX, and an Sig 1-6 SFP. Looking for another FFP. Technology is changing so fast and getting cheaper so I’m looking for the new Poors best thing. Lol

Glad to hear you know what you are getting into.
I have a great Bushnell SMRS 1x8 FFP(got it 40% off when Natchez discontinued them) when I first got it honestly I was shocked at the reticle size at 1x. I recently picked up an Sig Tango MSR 1x8 SFP (with Cabelas points) and like it well enough so far.

Thanks guys. The Arken has peaked my interest. I like reticle. Most of my shooting…let’s face it will be inside of 100 yards at most. I have a Jakl in 14.5 ASR in the way so. It’s not my go to, it’s a let’s see what the hype is all about toy so the optic doesn’t have to be top shelf. Not junk but also not a bank buster.

Just got an Arken and played with it today and I liked it but I'm also not as concerning as others. Clear glass, and mounted it and pretty much right on out of the box. Been heaing good stuff on them.

This is my issue with the Discoveropt 1-6X FFP scope I have for sale, reticle at low power is hard to see good enough for me. But my eyes aren't getting any younger. Reticle type may play a big part in visibility too though. But I'm really not a fan of the FFP platform.
