    sticky traps are cleanest but I still like to hear the snap noise of the mech ones. :rockon: But since moved to new house 4 years ago has been silent ...

    there is a plastic trap that is easy to set that works good. has plastic jaws like a shark.

    I used DeCon to great effect.

    Of course, that's not catching them, but you don't have to dispose of the carcasses.

    I still use old school spring and bar traps with a butter crouton.
    When I worked at a sugar mill we used the Xtra large,maybe 3"X6" and had them tied down so the rats couldnt run off with the trap. These rats were nearly the size of a small opossum! You have no idea what a real rat is until youve seen a sugar mill rat!
