Got this in the mail. :(

    My wife is still crying.

Happy and grateful crying cecause she knows you won't have to go back or crying cuz she wanted you to stay in?

I have to agree with Brannon once I got out and started working I missed the camaraderie with the guys. Its never been like that anywhere I have worked since I got out.

A little of both for both of us.

I got re-called 2 years after my EAS but wasn't attached to a Unit b/c of my VA Disability status.

That and the fact that she's a Marine Wife and understands that if it can happen it will. So while she also did miss some aspects of it, she yearend for the day to finally breathe 'KNOWING' that I know longer had a contractible agreement to the Corps.

So were both kind of luke warm about it knowing it's over. :)

You can never make friends like you made in the military. There is no greater bond that you share with someone that might have to save your life. The only other job that will come close is a LEO.

We used to always joke about trusting each other with our lives, our money but not our wives. :)

By the way, what do you do at Polk?

Environmental Contractor. We basically keep Fort Polk within Environmental Compliance as far as Hazardous/Non-Hazardous waste goes as well as 'Spill Response'.

Congrats Hitman. PM some time and we'll do lunch.

Will do. I usually go to the Smoke House on Tuesday's for the Red Beans and Rice special.

Congrats on the HD! It is I who am humbled by your service. I know you're up at Polk, but if you ever get the itch to visit the Palo Alto range down in Donaldsonville, hit me up. I'd be honored to have you as my guest.

Take care of Sgt(I think) "Rick" Mercer", my nephew. He's an Airborne Ranger who just got back from his Long stint in Afghanistan and was relocated down there.
