I just got a Pietta 1858 Remington New Army 44 reproduction and was wondering where in Shreveport was the best for Black Powder, Percussion caps and Projectiles? Balls or Cast conventional are fine by me...

Bass Pro has some black powder stuff, and maybe Academy. Ron's Guns might have some, but I haven't been in there in quite a while.

Real black powder is going to be hard to find, but I've had very good results using Hodgdon 777 in my Martini-Henry.

777 and Pyrodex will work. They're occasionally a little more stubborn to ignite than real BP. Real BP is only sold by one person in Louisiana now, as several years ago the feds put a bunch of new storage regs on BP dealers. Basically, they have to treat it like dynamite for storage purposes.
