Ok, so I may have been a little premature, but there are definitely some storms out there now. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. No rest for the weary!
It's going to get interesting if we get hit with all the debris laying around...
We can't control them -- this has been happening for thousands of years before we got here -- horrible storms before the advent of the Industrial Age -- like the "Last Island Storm" in 1856: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1856_Last_Island_hurricane
and here we are now. BUT at least we have technology that will give us a warning......unlike the earthquake that just hit Italy and the tornadoes that hit "Tornado Alley"............................

Invest 99L looks like its going to go up the east coast of Florida, but its still early. TS Gaston doesn't look like its a threat to us. Its tracking to miss the gulf completely. Still a long way out though.
Latest offshore forecast from Wilkins. They're giving it a > 60% chance of becoming a named storm. Looks like it will enter the Gulf Monday and track up the westward side of Florida.
