Well, I really f***ed up here! I was attempting to remove the impossible roll pin from the trigger guard and I did it... I broke off one of the ears which is used to mount the pistol grip. Luckily, I was taking off the grip to install the Magpul MIAD grip which is (I think) the only grip that doesn't require the use of the ears since the trigger guard is attached to the fore-strap. The real kicker here is this is a SBR lower. I think my best option would be to send it to LMT and have them destroy it and build me a new one with the same serial number but I would like to know what my options are. If anyone here has any experience with such a screw up, please let me know what you did. For now, the part is nothing important to me but I would like to have it fixed in the future.

Thanks. I send him an email.

Wow that sucks. What were you using to try and remove the roll pin?

A punch and a hammer. I had the ear properly supported from the back side but it still happened. I would punch a bit and check, punch a bit and check and so on but the pin was so damn hard to move. I even broke the tip of the punch trying to get the thing out. Then I thought I got it out and realized what I had actually done. I was screaming so loud, I'm suprised the neighbors didn't come over thinking I cut off my hand.

You can get something like this and just cover it up avoid destroying the receiver.

this looks like the best option to me.

I could be wrong here. But I don't believe that part is essential to any strength in the receiver. Cover it with a different grip in my opinion.

I was really hoping I had better options.

What if I wanted to put on a different grip sometime down the road? My concern is strength.

Worst thing would be you might have to re epoxy it. It's only going to be an issue if you change your trigger guard

You can always tap the holes for
4-40'set screws. Then it doesn't matter at all

If you were a Dumb A$$ like me and broke your receiver while driving the trigger guard roll pin this product will cover up that sin. It is a nice product and feels great. I had been looking for something like this for about a year, I am glad to have found it.
