browning a-5

i have a browning a-5 that i want to cut down to 18.5" can you remove the front sight bead block and reattach or would it be more agrivation than its worth

It would ruin the value of it also. Get an 870.

i understand what ur sayin but i would like a reliable semi auto with a shorter barrel i am just kicking around a few ideas plus i own a few a-5's and was going to use the worst one refinish it and fix it the way i would like it but i do appreciate your input,i am just trying to figure out if using the original bead block is even possible

With A-5 barrels costing this much I would not cut one. Maybe you can find someone with a barrel with rifle sights to trade.
