    I see tanks and military vehicles all the time in Metairie. My parents live a few lots south of some train tracks.

    I had pictures on my phone but I guess they got deleted :(

    Yeah, this is kind of a norm. It doesn't happen much on the local rails, but I've seen it a good bit.

    The only time I ever looked twice for other than "damn that's some whoop ass" was when I saw a few UN Humvees in the mix

    I saw the tanks on the track above i10 right before the west end exit this morning on my way to work. Thought it coincidental to click this thread and see pics of what i saw lol.

    oh and all the WWIII talk reminded me of this song

    You got that right.
    FWIW...I live by the tracks in New Orleans. I always see military equipment including tanks getting transported on the trains. Its just the normal movement of assets overseas IMO.
    And from what I hear....That sand in the Middle East plays havoc on all vehicles including tanks. I would guess after 10 years....some stuff needs replacing.
