Kind of funny, I sold them a shotgun and when I got to the door they had to check it and make sure it wasn't loaded. Then walk with me and carry it, and all the time I had a Sig 239 under my shirt.

I get a kick out of that too... same for buying a rifle at Bowie's this past weekend.

Wal-Mart also cracks me up. Any ammo in the glass case has to have an escort to the front.... sometimes. Ammo not in the case, walk around with it. There's no difference half the time in the ammo in the case and out of it, just overstock put wherever they had room. Of course if you check out with it in sporting goods then you can walk around with it.... the whole time that they are making up these policies as they go along with no consistency I'm laughing inside b/c I'm standing there with a loaded pistol.

to the OP, I conceal carry there every time I go. Don't ask, don't tell.

I went to Cabela's sunday, and of course i was strapped. If you ask you are creating a problem for yourself, one that you would not have, if you keep your mouth shut.

In walmart i have never had them walk the ammo to front for me, i have always picked it up and went on about my business.

That is kind of ironic about them carrying your for you while you were packing under your shirt.

I don't shop at walmart (especially for firearm related stuff) but if I did then I would buy the ammo first and then finish the rest of my shopping.

I bought a G26 from Cabelas a couple of days ago. (Had gift certificates). They carried the gun out of the store before handing it to me.

    I had a G23 IWB. LOL

I bought ammo at acadamy a few times...1 time they asked for ID and did not walk me to the front, 1 time they did not ask for ID and just handed the ammo to me...and one time they did not ask for ID and walked me to the check out...same acadamy every time...

I think it just depends on what they feel like doing haha...i asked the girl that walked me to the front why they did it..well she said "i dunno" i had to laugh

At Academy they haven't walked me to the front or asked for ID in several years. Even when making huge purchases of pistol ammo. I bought 1500 rounds at once last year for a class.

I w/think if there is no sihn in the window that OC w/be ok...In my opinion its time we stop hiding the fact that we are scared to carry our protection during our daily routines....This is my opinion only....La is a open carry state..It does not say that la is a open carry, all except at caballas..LOL..17 year old kids can walk down the st. w/a sidearm...CCW is the way to go ....But open carry is allowed in La....If we dont use it ,we may lose it...Lots of states wish they c/do it.....Again,This is only my opinion.....Most of those stores w/not allow LOADED guns behind a certain point ..That may be the sighn to look for as you walk in.....Put the clip in the other pocket,LOL>......
