REALLY?? I thought they were as long as they were chambered in a legal cartridge i.e. .444 or .45-70? How does the H&R handi-rifle get away with being legal?

Dunno.....But my brother in law in a game warden and he says no go.....But they are legal in Miss.

Legal in Miss not in LA. Reason: not a pre 1900 patent design where as the H&R, Optima Elite, and Knight KP1 are designed off a pre 1900 patent.

I'm glad to hear I bought the right rifle for primitive weapon season then!! I was thinking of getting a TC Encore, but decided to go the cheaper route.
