cc test out of state

I am a resident of Louisiana who works all over the country. I wanted to take the time to take concealed carry course since last Nov. but never got around to it.

My question is can I take it in Idaho where I am working and have them file for my license in Lousiana? I see Cabela's here is holding a CCW course, and I am here for another 11 weeks.

The instructor has to be on the LSP list.

No, you cannot take the class in Idaho, as the instructor and the class has to be on the approved list of the Louisiana State Police.

I don't believe that there are any geographical requirements for the location of the class, so technically a Louisiana approved instructor could teach you a class in Idaho, or anywhere else.

Never thought of that. Just thought it would be convient as I have to much free time while out of state, especially when its snowey.
