CCW at city park event

Hello, my daughter and extended family want to head over to the city park event tomorrow I haven't been in well over 5 years to date. Is ccw kosher inside the event or is it metal dectors and wands galore with no ccw or open carry permitted, From what I remember the park was fine cannot recall the events. Thanks.

I assume you’re asking about City Park in New Orleans, yes? The only place I’ve ever been that had people with wands scanning you to get in was Tad Gormley Stadium for a football game. Other than that, I’ve never been scanned or had to walk through metal detectors anywhere in the park. My wife works for City Park so standby and I’ll get her to get the official firearms policy from the COO. But for now, I think you’re good to go. Where in the park is the event?

I've been to many events at city park and to all the kiddy fun stuff... Never been wanded.

I've never seen metal detectors at city park or NOMA.

I have gone to NOMA several times carrying without any issues. City Park Amusement and the golf clubhouse don't screen either.
