CCW at Clear Springs camp ground in Mississippi?

What are the laws in Mississippi reguarding CCW in camp grounds? I'm going to Clear Spings which is located in a national forest.

Section 13. "No license issued pursuant to this section shall authorize any person to carry a concealed pistol or revolver... any public park unless for the purpose of participating in any authorized firearms-related activity"

I would say no, unless it's Federal land and then I would say yes.

You could probably just call Highway Patrol and ask them.

Clear Springs is in the Homochitto National Forest . I've been campimg there off and on for 50 years . I know that place like the back of my hand . Good times . I've always carried concealed . Legal or not .

Call 601-987-1586 and speak to Lt Jimmy Gann. He is over the firearm permit division. He is a great guy, I worked with him when he was a road trooper and I was working dispatch at HQ back in the early 90's.
