My daughter and I went to the new dog park with our lab again this morning at Lafreneier park (very nice, btw. if any of you are going on a weekend pm me). As we were getting ready to leave a police officer in uniform walks in the gate without a dog and is checking th e place out. He recognized me from the parades (he worked the corner we were on for several nights) and we start chatting.
I asked him what they've been told about ccw on parade routes. His answer was it was illegal don't do it. I told him I hadn't but was curious. He said they busted a security guard for carrying on the route this year. I tried to explain but I could see I wasn't getting through to him. We agreed to disagree and changed the subject.
We really need to get a ruling from the AG or a written memo from LSP to present to the department chiefs, etc. Maybe someone on board has the contacts to get that done...
