CCW instructors

I noticed on the LSP's site that there are considerably way more NRA/CCW instructors than there are shooting ranges in this state. If one does not own a range or work for one, then how/why does he make money teaching the CCW? Do ranges allow these guys to freelance or something?

I work out of Bass Pro Shops, along with another instructor. Ranges rent out classrooms and range times to instructors. It's another way they make money.

Fwiw, the rules don't require that the shooting happen at a licensed businesses range. So a guy who has land and teaches can do it at his house (or land) as long as other laws are met.

I have a couple of places i use for the shooting part as most is classroom and very little is shooting.
