CCW permanent license for those over 65

I understand that a law was passed this session allowing a lifetime CC permit for those over 65. I have had a permit, since it was first introduced back in the 1990's. My nest course is not due for a year and a half. Can I apply for my lifetime permit now at $125 and be done , except with courses every 5 years? someone please clarify this for me.

This goes into effect 08/15/2013. After that date call 925-4867 or 925-4868 and they may know the answer to your question.

And it's my understanding the fee is $500 for under 65 and $250 for 65 and older. Not $125.

As I understand it, yes. The life permit is an option.
