    St Bernard Indoor is a good range. The Chalmette Battlefield is also worth a visit. The range+the battlefield+Rocky and Carlo's= nice day trip! You will not have to worry about crime as well.

    I'm quite familiar with Da Parish. I have yet to make my way down to the range, but I'd like to visit one day. I've seen the battlefield a thousand times and never cared for Rocky & Carlo's :ugh:

    I agree, Rocky and Carlo's is highly overrated. Just huge portions of "cafeteria" food.

    There has not been a decent show since 1980.

    I concur! In the 1960's and 1970's Gun Shows were about Guns, Gun accessories, Ammunition and Knives. Most of the customers were males old enough to purchase a gun without the babies in buggies looking for cotton candy and ice cream.
    I have not been to a so called Gun Show in about 6 years, have they improved any?
