Dont even bring up the mini-14 here, you will get slammed by the AR fanboys. Mini-14 tactical is a great gun. 634 bucks at budsgunshop.com

Well, it's not that I like the Mini over the AR, but the likelihood of gettin' an AR over a Mini are 0.00 percent. Which is why I ask for help.
Personally, I prefer an AR over the Mini, and the AK over both. Just lookin' for a good price on that gun and a bipod, scope or a cheap (good) ACOG. A few 30-round clips, maybe a 100-round clip. (for the helluva it.

I have shot the mini-14 tactical. I personally like it. Cycles a bit slower than the ar, however I am a fan of the piston system. If you like AK's, then I would go with the mini.
