I have an original Buckmaster 184 if any one is interested.

I have one too.......It is not for sale:D I love this thing. If money is not an option and someone asks "What survival knife?", this is the one I would recommend. No Doubt.

    Be well all.

p.s. I also have a Ka-Bar (Army sub-contractor version. But, Army issued) I carried in the Army for almost the whole 20 years and I love it too.

+1 for the SOG sealpup. I had a gerber knockoff for many years. I just never trusted it, it rusted, wouldn't hold an edge, etc... Hard to go wrong with a kabar or a good very old bayonet. I wouldn't trust the newer ones. Keep the words 'lowest bidder' in mind. A WWII bayonet is another story.
I can't say enough good things about the seal pup though.

Take a look at the knives on the 'nutnfancy' channel on youtube. I don't always agree with him, but he does a good basic review.
