    Hi all,

I've been watching this site for awhile and finally joined. The guns I currently own are:

    Glock 17 3rd gen
    Mauser K98
    Remington sportsman 48 20 guage
    Ruger 10/22
    Ruger Mini-14
    CZ 452 military trainer

I enjoy shooting, but haven't had much time lately with two little girls at home. I've been looking for a new range to frequent. Any suggestions for the Baton Rouge area?

I spent 17 years of my life in Central right there on Lazy Lake drive.
I Remember back in the early 80's one sheriff car that shared the fire station and just a few subdivisions. I use to ride my bike up and down Hooper road. Now you would get run over!
    LOL

Yeah it's been built up a lot I hear. My family and I are really enjoying it. Thanks for the welcome guys. Are there any good rifle ranges nearby?

Welcome from right down the road!

Sherburne WMA is the closest outdoor rifle range that we have access to in our area. More info on the Shooting Range & Sherburne WMA. Note that while free to use, you are required to be in possession of some LDWF permit (fishing license, etc.). Also, the facilities out there are lacking, so be sure to bring your own food/drinks, targets, pushpins/staples, etc.

The two closest indoor ranges to Central are:

    Baker Range - http://www.bakerrange.com

    Diamond Training Center - http://www.diamondtrainingcenter.net

    Thanks guys!

I may get to meet some of you if I can start frequenting some of the shooting ranges. I'll have to check into the Sherburne range. Would a hunting license suffice?
