ejt1469 , I have a friend who works at the catapult test site in Lakehurst ,N.J. According to him they can't get that electrical / magnetic launching system to work as the designers proposed . This theory has been around for quite sometime ,according to him it will never do what steam power does for launching a/c off a carrier . Just thought you would like to know. Have a beautiful day.

Here we see one of Ameica's youngest engineers, Jimmy Koufax of Kenosha, Wisconsin working on our next great aircraft carrier.
This model has been on the table for over 25 years and this early photo was just recently released. Says Jimmy "I done been a lot of engineer schools since I was 5. They don't teach me good way to speak or spell, but I can draw designs real good!"
The release date has not been set just yet, but officials hope it will be in the water before China's super carrier.
