My wife just told me the national news just reported that the cabin Dorner was hiding in exploded, possibly due to the stockpiled ammunition.
Ammo doesn't explode in a fire... I guess they'll declare ammo as a fire hazard next?

Christopher Dorner shootout: 1 deputy killed, 1 wounded, sources say

Two law enforcement officers were airlifted to a local hospital with unknown injuries after a shootout in the Big Bear area with a suspect believed to be Chris Dorner.

Authorities say deputies working the Big Bear area in their search for Dorner responded to the 1200 block of Club View Drive at about 12:20 p.m. for a reported stolen vehicle by a man matching Dorner's description. Deputies immediately began a search of the area.

The vehicle was located at Highway 38 and Glass Road a short time later. The suspect fled into the forest on foot and barricaded himself inside a cabin. There was an exchange of gunfire between law enforcement and the suspect, wounding two San Bernardino sheriff's deputies.

It is believed the suspect has barricaded himself in a cabin. It is unclear if there is anyone else in the cabin with him. Numerous law enforcement officers have responded to the area. All vehicles highways 38, 330 and 18 were searched in connection to the Dorner search.

The last truck that they have him in is now a white dodge 4x4. Looks like two more silver Honda Civics will be shot up next. Can you imagine if that guy was around here in a white truck? My company truck would stay parked at work.

Just a hunch he set off the explosion himself to create a diversion and get away. Which would explain the tracks but hell I am no detective and I am probably wrong. I mean what person in their right mind would blow up a good house....

It is being reported that Dorner is dead. Shot by local sheriffs' dept. sniper just before cabin went up in flames.
