The best advice I can give you is don't send any kind of brush down the bore of a 22. I use Dewey rods in all my guns and have several rods of different length but the 22s only get a dry patch and rarely if ever that. It takes too long for a 22 bore to settle back down after scrubbing the bore. I fire thousands of rounds of 22LR in competition and I don't clean the bores on any of my 22s. I have two Anschutz factory barrels and a Volquartsen that have never been brushed in 8 years and they still group tight. Dry patch only. The rest of the gun does get cleaned as normal, just not the bore. I have had good service with Dewey rods.

As far as a bore snake, if you ever break one of those off in a bore you will wish you had never seen one. It has happened and they are very difficult to remove.

I have no experience with an Ivy rod but from the pictures they appear to be uncoated. Some people swear at uncoated rods and some people swear by them.
