I agree with Sherburne. Just get a "hook and line" fishing license for $2.50. You can get them at Wal-Mart and Academy for sure. And when you drive to Sherburne take 190 and then hook south to Sherburne. Don't make the mistake of taking Google's advice and going on I-10 and then going north. The whole road is gravel and can get a bit bumpy. It's a couple of miles of gravel if you go the 190 way. Don't neglect to fill out the self check-in/out form. They're right at the fence to the rifle range which is the one on the right as you are inside the range area. You'll see what I mean.
If it's more convenient from where you are in BR you can take I-10 to Port Allen and cut across Hwy 1 to reach 190.
