Just that is was actually reported in the NY Times is big by itself.

Send this article to friends you may have in other states where dummies have taken over their gun rights.

And make no mistake! Despite this typical BS statement below, this ouster will haunt this moron the rest of his life. And that makes ME smile!

*We made Colorado safer from gun violence,* he said afterward, as his supporters trickled away from a hotel ballroom here in his district. *If it cost me my political career, that’s a small price to pay.*

While this is good news, let's see who gets elected to fill the slots and whether or not the laws get repealed. Gov. Hickenlooper would likely veto any repeal measure.

Two republicans were elected to fill the vacant spots. Given the nature of the effort, I assume that they are pro-gun. Everyone is up for reelection in 2014 so there may be a chance for repeal. In the meantime, the Colorado sheriffs have sued to have the law overturned.

From a symbolism standpoint, this was a major 2A victory.

Let's not get crazy, Dan! It is STILL Colorado. :mamoru:

But yes; anyone in politics mistaking removing any state Senate President of their party majority led Legislature as symbolic is a fool.
