Is there something that's factually wrong with the pic?

To me, I can see a direct correlation b/t that pick and why we have the 2ndA

Hey, at least they aren't hooping and hollering about all kinds of entitlements for something that happend before they were even born to people they didn't know. If I were Native American, which I am not, I would love the publicity of the atrocities that happened to my ancestors at the hands of the government.

The way I read it, it's just one uppity injun fool whining:
Greeley resident Kerri Salazar, who is of Native American descent, said she was livid when she learned about it. She said she doesn't have a problem with the gun rights message, but she's offended the Native American people were singled out, apparently without their consent.

I'm betting it's some "I'm half one sixteenth Cherokee on my mom-in-law's side" jackoff who was looking for an excuse to be offended at something.

The rest of the article just reached out to educated people in Native history and got statements about whether the complaint is relevant, and all they said was "Yea, there are definitely some gun rights problems in Native history, but there was more than that in their oppression." So it's backing it up, but noting there was more to the story... which I think everyone knows. You don't sum up such a displacing invasion with one billboard.

Otherwise, the only whiner I see is that /one/ person in the intro of the story.

I agree. I also think there are some Indians who probably like the idea of that being used as an example of freedom getting trounced, too. Maybe this broad is actually in the minority and the press is just playing games, as usual.

(So I guess I just said the same thing you & JNieman said. :dogkeke:)

If you really want to **** some people off,

Put up the same billboard but with Americans of Japenese heritage. Maybe change the caption to "Give us your guns and get on the trains, F*ck your rights"

This stupid bitch is offended and doesn't even know why. If I was a Native American, I'd be mad as hell at the Government and be 100% behind the message the sign is portraying.

Guess she's afraid she wouldn't get her check.

TRUE Native Americans of old would be absolutely disgusted with what's become of their once proud tribes. Just as those who fought in the Revolutionary War would be ashamed of what we've allowed the US Government to become.

"She said it's not as if Native Americans just gave up their guns and wound up on reservations."

Oh really? Well what is it "as if"

Ya know, I'm gonna prolly laugh til I vomit if we later find out that the billboards were paid for by some Indian casino or something...
