Greetings,
Up for sale is a late model Colt Lightweight Commander in 45 ACP that I received in trade. This is a very nice 1911, everything about it feels good. I put a few rounds through it to make sure it functions properly, which it does. I was able to routinely hit a basketball sized target offhand at about 50 yards. If I was into 1911s, I would definitely keep it.
Price is $900 preferably in the Lafayette area, but I get araound. I priced them online and this is competitive especially considering the upgrades.
I test fired it because the guide rod and the recoil spring ha been swapped, it functions. I expected recoil to be intense with the lightweight and smaller frame compared to my other 1911, but it was smooth and easy to stay on target.
I really don't want any trades right now, but here are some of the things I'd consider-

- It comes with 2 x 8rd Wilson Combat and 1 x 10rd Chip McCormick
I think the Wilsons are 8rd mags at least. I'm pretty sure they are.
There are a few aftermarket items - Ambidextrous safety
- Flared magazine well
- Giant tritium sights that are easy to see and really easy to shoot with. The pistol can balance upside down on the sights as seen in the photo.
- Full length guide rod
- Increased weight recoil spring

I really don't want any trades right now, but here are some of the things I'd consider-
- A good S&W revolver
- Mossberg 500/590 12G with 8+ rd capacity
- An M1 Carbine
- A good AR in 556/223, but I'll be picky on this.
