I don't understand why animals like to chew on wires. It just seems like an unpleasant experience all around.

I read somewhere that they are using a pecan shell based insulation instead of rubber on some wires...

Regardless of how cute they are, raccoons need to be killed! There is no shortage of them and they destroy wild turkey nests and quail nests; and eat the eggs, poults, and chicks.

Louisiana's wild quail populations have been decimated by raccoons and fire ants. I'm sure in your area there are folks that would eat them; but even if they didn't.......

Having had the displeasure of being surprise attacked and bitten by my sister's so called, "pet" raccoon on many occasions as a young lad, I can attest they hurt like hell.

Ted and his gang must hate the gun laws up there.

Well there goes my lunch break plus a bit. For any other guys that were not around for the first 2 coon threads, they are definitely worth the read. And Speed, after having read those threads, I am glad that I only have an ugly ******* possum under my house. No body thinks they are cute.
