Another anti-gun organization opposes "YES on 2:"

    Here is their conclusion:

    BGR Position

AGAINST. The proposed amendment sets the stage for expanding gun rights in Louisiana far beyond those protected by the Second Amendment. By imposing a stricter standard of judicial review, the proposed amendment would make it more diffi cult to regulate guns in Louisiana. Both existing and newly enacted laws, such as bans on firearms in schools and bars, would be subject to challenge under the strict scrutiny standard. Furthermore, by specifically eliminating the Legislature’s authority to limit concealed weapons, the amendment sends a message to the courts to strike down commonsense requirements for concealed weapons permits. This would expose the public to unnecessary risks and hamper law enforcement efforts. There is no good reason to enter this uncharted territory.

Here is a much more balanced overview:

    Yep.

Heard on the way in that they oppose it "because we already have some of the most pro-gun rights laws- and this law could allow for a lawsuit that could overturn the law that prohibits carrying guns on a college campus."

    Uhh, what? :dogkeke:

    Screw them both. :redfinger:

Great idea let's tax the spouse of a disabled veteran, because that spouse isn't already on a fixed income. Sometimes
i wonder if these people understand what they oppose.
