Crafting a slingshot from scratch...

I want to make a slingshot from stainless steel... I have no clue where to start. Any ideas? Not sure where else to put this as this is "gunsmithing" in a sense. I want a small, but extremely solid steel slingshot that can take heavy rubber bands. Always wanted to build one...

I'd stay away from rubber bands and go with surgical tubing.

Heavy wall stainless hydraulic tubing? Some of the guys around here might have enough scrap sitting around to help you out. Or maybe some stainless round bar? If you've got a hydraulic press you could form it into a one piece tuning fork / wrist rocket shape.

One piece would be great and surgical tubing sounds good. I need to find steel and a press!
