crap done broke something else again...

Anyone can replace a safety on a mossberg 590? i went to far in while replacing the stock. Now I have no safety.


Looking in the Orleans Area.

Lift up arm and point at something, now look at finger and say, This is my safety!!
There ya go, problem solved!! Lol lol

I might go to the next hog hunt at belle chase and from what I heard they check all weapons for safety.

There ya go. I went with the "enhanced safety" for 19.99 because it kept the same slim profile of the stock safety but added a taller hump for my thumb. Whichever you go with be sure to go with a metal one over plastic. I love my 590!

dude i wish it was that. my safety isn't engaging period. i messed up something up putting the stock back on!

IIRC it's just a two piece unit with a screw holding it together. May have bent it or something. Look at it when you strip the receiver down all the way.

Oh I see..is it frozen up or does it slide freely back and forth? You may be missing the REALLY FREAKIN' small ball bearing or the spring if you disassembled it completely. If not then you might need to get a gunsmith to look at it.

this. i used the steel one from brownells on my 500 after i broke my safety falling on a rock.
