Thats a lot of blood for a small animal like a bird or rat. You have a dog or maybe a coon/possum in your garage?

Flip flops, ext cords and chainsaws dont go together.
When flip flop gets caught in cord it will come off. You will land your foot on the end of the chainsaw and cut an artery behind your big toe.

I've had a couple hundred stitches in my life but had never cut an artery. Scared the shart out of me. I didnt get what the spurting was all about for a sec.

That is no joke for sure. My friend cuts trees for a living and just last week he cut 3 toes off on his left foot when he hit a rebar that was in the middle of a tree. He was wearing steel toe boots and it cut right behind where the steel stops.

Oh thats nothing! I tried to cut off my left index finger last May. I just sharpened my knife (Kershaw Leek) and was attempting to cut some covering material off the wiring to expose some shorted wires when...ooops it slipped and cut my finger. I felt it stop when it hit the bone. Yep a nice 45 degree cut on my finger all the way to the bone. Nothing like sitting in the ER @ 4:00am waiting to get stitched up. I even took pictures, but I don't think it would be a good idea to post them, don't want nobody yaking on their computer.
