Built to compete in Field Precision Rifle or F-Open, this rifle can produce High-Master scores in the right hands. Features a Bighorn TL3 Action and Krieger SS barrel 1:7 twist M24 contour . The Action is left-handed, and it's meant for a right-handed shooter who is shooting off of a bench or from a prone position where the right elbow is resting on a surface. With this set up there is no need to remove the trigger finger from the trigger area when cycling the bolt. The action is set up as a repeater using AI style polymer mags so it can be fed from the mag or loaded one round at a time. The chassis is a Magpul Pro 700 in OD Green. The barrel is free floating. It is chambered in 224 Valkyrie. This one rifle can compete from 300 to 1000 yards. Currently loading about 26 grains of CFE223, which can really stretch your powder supply. I have an adequate inventory of brass, bullets, powder (CFE223 and Varget) and match-grade primers which would be available at a very fair price. About 120 rounds fired in total - all for load development. Shoots better than 1/4 inch with hand loads for me, and 3/4 inch with 90 grain Factory Ammo. Have targets to support that. Has an easily adjustable Trigger Tech Diamond trigger set at 1 pound but adjustable down to 4 oz. or up to 32 oz. Buy the rifle and I'll give you 1,500 rounds of Federal Premium 90 grain ammo for free. That's about $2,000 worth of ammo for free if you buy the rifle for $2200. Optic not included in price. image 224V.jpg It's worth mentioning that the action is a Remington 700 clone, but Bighorn uses a replaceable bolt face and a mechanical ejector, so if the bolt face is damaged by a pierced primer just replace it. Moreover, the caliber of the rifle can be changed to most any other Remington Short Action just by changing the bolt face and replacing the barrel. So if you had a 308 barrel, just order a 308 bolt face. It probably could be converted to a 223 just by rechambering and replacing the bolt face. The 1:7 twist will stabilize heavier bullets up to 90 grains. The muzzle brake is a Hellfire self-timing bushing style brake. It can be moved from one rifle to another just by having the bushings on multiple rifles. This one is for 6mm or smaller. PM or text 504-453-744five
