CZ 453 American cal. 22 LR

Hi yall I picked up a used .22 LR the other day that ended up having a chipped chamber and the gun shop gave me store credit for the full amount and told me to pick something else. So I looked and looked and they were about to close and I had to make my mind up to keep the chipped chamberd gun or pick something so I came home with a brand new CZ 453 American cal. 22 LR in the box. I dont know a lot about CZ so I hope its a good gun.

I have a cheep BSA Sweet .22 scope 3-9x40 and need to find some rings for it. If anyone has this scope on a CZ 453 American tell me what rings you use?

There are a lot of guys at rimfire central that really like these little CZ rifles. I have no experience with them but I've generally heard good things on their behalf. I hope you enjoy it.

I've heard the same. Good rifle. They have a model that comes factory threaded 1/2x20.

I picked up a bipod for it. However I still havent found any rings so Im gonna order some tomorrow. Cant wait to shoot it !!!

The bipod on my cz is for function not for looks. Its a great gun OP I love my 452 its a tack driver.

453 is basically a 452 with a fully adjustable trigger. the top is dovetailed for 11mm instead of the normal 3/8". I got a 3/8 to work but just barely. I have the military trainer model which has a huge rear sight. I ended up getting a see through, super tall set of rings from BSA to mount a 40mm scope. Scope is a little too high but manageable.

I have CZ 453 in .17 HMR with a 4X12X40 Redfield scope. It groups less than one inch @ 100 yards. I love that set trigger. Also I have 2 centerfire CZ model 550's. They are also great shooters.

Its a great gun for sure.
If I keep it I will put a better scope on it.
