I've been tossing around the idea of adding another gun to the collection. I don't know why, I guess just because. So my question to the great bayou shooter gods is what should I get? I was looking at four options.

    1. Glock 21
    2. Glock 17
    3. Coonan!!
    4. Start another ar build

Now I have never owned a glock. I think the coonan would be bad ass but just a little on the expensive side and I haven't even finished my first ar build and found myself pricing out a new one this morning. So which one should I get?

I would say none of the above. Considering you have never finished your AR build, I would finish that, and use the spare money to upgrade where it counts (barrel, trigger, optic, ammo and practice).

It depends on what you want the gun for. Casual plinking, target shooting, competiton, truck gun, bedside gun, personal protection, etc. As for the Glock 17, not a bad choice. I owned one but I much prefer the Glock 19 which I also have. The Sccy CPX1 or 2 are not bad choices either my wife has one and she loves it, I like it too!

    upgrade where it counts

I wasn't planning on doing anything until I finish the build. Just waiting on a couple wrenches to come in to finish. I kinda like the idea of upgrading.

What's the application? Just for fun?

Yea for the most part it would be just for fun, it may get used as the bedside gun down the road.

As for the Rough Rider, that thought has crossed my mind before.

Well, after entertaining the thought of getting a new firearm for the past week I think I'm just gonna stick with the noobs suggestion. Seems to be the most logical one and probably less money.
