    Hi,

Does anyone have some good Cajun deer & pork sausage recipes?

I tried some deer sausage that my friend had made in Eunice and it was awesome. I think it was a jalapeno / cheese mix. Anyway, if anyone has some killer deer sausage recipes please let me know because I want to turn this buck into some tasty sausage.

    Thanks a lot,
    Dave

Bring your gun for a side trip to Molokai next time you visit Hawaii. Photos are from Molokai Ranch where you can hunt deer all year round.

I think that's Maui in the distance...or is it Lanai?

    Thanks, it was a blast.

I think the guide charges around $1200 for a full day per hunter. Our cost was quite a bit less since we live in Hawaii. We could take a buck and a doe. You are pretty much guaranteed to get something since there are so many deer there.

The guide does not like the .243 so bring something more powerful. Plus, you definately want the knock down power because dragging the buck up the ravine was a bitch.

Anyway, it would be well worth it if you plan a trip out.

    Later,
    Dave

Ok, since you live in Hawaii I will come stay with you to save money for the hunt!!! :bigok: :dogkeke:

ETA: I will ask my BIL he has a really good recipe that uses but it is mainly for deer burgers. You could easily make a sausage out of it.
