    Just to be "fair"...

The following agencies are under the Homeland Security umbrella.

FLETC - Federal law enforcement training center.
    US Customs/Border Patrol/ICE
    US Secret Service
    US Coast Guard

DHS has approx 180,000 employees and they spend approximately $1,933,333.33 per employee.

lol yea jokes and comments were abundant during that class. He /did/ supervise and allow people to fire his gun with the giggle switch though, after it was over, which was nice. Although I hear it came with the comment "You paid for it anyways" so he did get his snark in too ;)

Another thread about this? We need a search button here so people can make sure what they're posting hasn't been discussed half a dozen times... Wait...

Either way, let the uninformed panic begin.

Seems like they have no ammo shortage issues- which is good.

So I'd be more concerned about why USBP Agent Brian Terry met his death using a bean bag shotgun facing the AKs given to his killer by our own gov't- and why this is no longer being discussed in our "watchdog" news media. To me, that's a bigger issue. :dunno:

    Then ignore the thread.

Either way, let the uninformed panic begin.

Pointing out that the story has hit "mainstream" news, as apposed to WND, Infowars, etc.

    NOLA/Northshore!
Normal qualifications and use. Uniforms? Well, the contract is under review for some of the agencies. The secretary of DHS wants all DHS to get uniforms from the same supplier instead of each agency negoiating their own deal. In other words, she wants to negotiate at the DHS level. Nothing new or nefarious here. Just more govt red tape.

"...And these sheepdogs, the smarter, more perceptive ones among them, are
infinitely suspicious of the lupine-mandarin class who continually try to
overstep the boundaries the Founders of the flock set..."

    Keep asking.

I would prefer people ask questions and research these things BEFORE freaking out. The problem isn't asking questions the problem is jumping to conclusions.
