Did you turn them off, then turn them back on? They basically a small computer. When mine acts stupid, I shut it down and power it back up. Works fine after? JMO?

i am extremely hard on phones. I consider myself lucky if i get a year out of a phone. When i switched to a smart phone i went windows phone. Big mistake. I now run android on all my mobile products and have no problems. I had a motorola take a dive from a 3rd floor balcony with no damage other than superficial scratches. Otterbox makes a great product.

I have an iPhone 5 with AT&T. I have not had any issues that you have described. The only issues I've had is that the internet wouldn't load and it had issues connecting to Wifi once. I simply turned it off and turned it back on it all the issues went away.

Verizon probably has the best coverage in metropolitan areas and major highways. Sprint probably has the worst coverage of all the networks. I started with Sprint, and I was so disappointed (My old 1990 5600 bps dial-up phone modem was ultra-fast compared to Sprint in 2013.), that I returned the phone to the Sprint store and told them that if I didn't get my money back - all of it - that I was going to file a complaint against them with the BBB. They advertised a data network that they didn't have. I took my money across the street to Verizon. I have seriously fast 4G now. My cell phone downloads faster than my Cox business line. No ****.

    Verizon + droid.

When the iPhones came out I hated them. Kept my flip phone. Then the iPhone 4 came out. Thought it was crap and kept my flip phone. Flip phone died in 2011 and I checked out the droid htc. It was fast and very intuitive. Now have a galaxy 4s. Same story. Apple is just so bloody cumbersome for me to use that I'd rather not use one and get irritable. Droid on the other hand is simple and makes sense. Verizon has been great.

I have jogged in literally pouring rain for miles holding my droid htc in otterbox in my hand. So much water on it the touchscreen wouldn't respond. Got home and to wiped it off and it worked for another year or so until I replaced it. The sd card got broken in half somehow...still worked although glitchy.

I regularly bring my iPhone 5 in a Lifeproof case in the shower with me for music. When the case gets dirty I wash it in soapy water and dry it off. A good case is what makes a phone durable these days. Now the firmware might suck though.

I drop it all the time, and it gets abused in the gym a lot too. A good case is what makes a phone durable these days. Now the firmware might suck though.

I have a Galaxy S4 and LOVE it. My only complaint is how fast I burn through the battery, but I think that is probably me being on the phone too much as opposed to the battery being bad :P
