Do I send in state registration when building a can on form 1

    send approved state form with the form 1 to the ATF.
    once your form is approved with the ATF, you can build your can.

    So I will be registering my intentions? I just did not understand how i could register something that didn't exist yet. I'll try not to think when dealing with government rules.

    The ATF doesn't think of it as registration. They actually call it a permit. I have been on the phone a few times with the examiner and they called it the state permit. So don't think of it as registering but think of it as applying or a permit.
