News anchor basically says "In conclusion, here's a video submitted by our viewers in which several young people fly on a fire extinguisher through a subway train car" She mentions that the police was notified of the event, so perhaps it is a true event. It is, however, staged because the laws of physics apply even in the motherland...even underground in the motherland
.The train moving wouldn't contribute to the horizontal movement of the fire extinguisher rider. The train, the air inside and the rider/extinguisher are all initially traveling at the same speed. With no air movement and no drag on the rider, jumping up or levitating would not cause him to be horizontally displaced at all. You're correct in regard to the fire extinguisher thrust. The extinguisher is designed to disperse its contents in a fairly wide stream, so its inherently not good for creating thrust (look at jet engines. They have a conical nozzle that narrows at the end and causes the escaping gases to accelerate. Opposite of the extinguisher nozzle) The fact that the rider points the extinguisher nozzle horizontally also points to the falsity of the stunt. Horizontal thrust does not create any vertical forces and thus cannot support a rider. Viral video is viral?
