been reading about eezox and would like opinions from others who use it. what do y'all think about it. is it really as good a product as claimed. also, is there any ware to find it, other than ordering it off the website, in the Jennings or Lake Charles, Louisiana area.

EEZOX was recommended to me by a first class Ruger gunsmith and I have been using it for about two years on my Marlins, Rugers and CZs. I bought mine from Midway and have been very pleased with its performance. In a few days, I am getting a Ruger Old Army and will see how well it holds up with black powder.

Eezox is outstanding rust preventive option. I began using it 5-6 years ago after reading some test results. (Maybe I can find it somewhere).

I never considered Eezox to be one of the best lubricants. There are lot of synthetics that are oustanding friction reducers.

Edited to add: Here's a link to the Eezox article that I mentioned. http://www.thegunzone.com/rust.html

In well over 40 years of using weapons professionally, I have yet to see a product that delivers on the "all-purpose" claim.

Eezox is a fabulous corrosion inhibitor, and a decent lubricant for .22s. It doesn't clean for squat, and is far too thin, IMO, to be of much use on a service weapon; the film it supposedly leaves behind notwithstanding.

Midway has it; I just re-ordered some. Never seen it locally.

    .

where is it that you are getting it from, midway, is that a website?
