F Class Match Tomorrow May 7th

The monthly 600 yard F Class match is tomorrow in Donaldsonville at the Palo Alto range. Registration is from 7:30 - 8:00. Who's going?

You need a rifle and 66 rounds.

I would say yes. Iirc you have a 20" barrel and can shoot at least 69 grain bullets.

In a nutshell-
F-TR is .308 or .223 unmodified only. Front bipod and/or sling and back bag rest.
FPR- any caliber up to .35. We allow muzzlebreaks and suppressors. Folding stock and/or sling with or without back bag rest.

Just for future reference, would it be legal to shoot a rifle chambered in 223AI in FTR as long as regular 223 ammo was used?

Sorry HiCap, that would not be legal. Seems like it would if the ammo is .223, but the rules describe rifles CHAMBERED in .223; so it is the rifle that is restricted, not the ammo.

The match was a good one, with 27 shooters and great weather.

Twenty seven shooters attended the May match, and were greeted with some typically tricky Palo Alto Winds and comfortable weather.* Rob Westfall was the Prone Match Winner with 594-30x.* In the prone Master class, Joe Mistretta was high shooter with 571-16x, and Dwaine Vidrine was tops in the Expert/SS class with 556-9x.* The F-Class Open Match Winner was Don Geraci with 594-20x.* The F-TR Match Winner was Dennis Haffner coming out of the Sharpshooter class to post his 574-14x winning score.* Nice shooting Dennis!* William Wittman was first HM Open, and Adrian Smith posted the winning Master Open score of 585-19x.* The F-TR Master winner was Erik Kliebert with 567-17x, and Kevin Dimartino was tops in F-TR Expert with 571-12x.
